
DEMV Students Explore PropTech and Modern Construction Practices at Capitol TwinPeaks
The Department of Estate Management and Valuation organized a field visit for fourth-year undergraduate students of the B.Sc. (Honours) in Real Estate Management and Valuation degree programme, as part of EMV4379: Property Technology and Digital Solutions subject. The visit was conducted at Capitiol TwinPeaks, a prominent high-rise residential development.
This learning experience provided students with valuable exposure to contemporary construction practices and technological innovations shaping the real estate sector. During the visit, students observed modern apartment development processes, with particular emphasis on modular construction techniques, efficient planning strategies, and integrated project management approaches.
The engagement enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of how emerging technologies and innovative methodologies contribute to enhancing construction quality, optimizing project timelines, and improving overall project delivery. It also offered insights into the evolving dynamics of Sri Lanka’s luxury residential market and the role of digital solutions in driving efficiency and competitiveness.
