Undergraduate Research Symposium 2020, organized by the Department of Marketing
Management of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was held on 14 th Jan 2020 at the
University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Being the second Symposium, the objective of the same was
to provide a platform for the final year undergraduates of the Department to showcase their
capability in conducting a research to their peers, junior students, academics, and corporate
sector. Eighteen selected research of the final year undergraduates were presented at the
Symposium. The extended abstracts based on such research, authored by the respective students
and supervisors, were published in the proceedings of the symposium. Students showcased their
capabilities in diverse specialization areas in marketing, namely, consumer behaviour, marketing
communication, services marketing, sustainability marketing, digital marketing, tourism, and
hospitality. ELTA-ELSE Development Project under AHEAD grants received by the Faculty of
Management Studies and Commerce, provided the required financial assistance to succeed the
Undergraduate Research Symposium 2020. Delegates from the corporate sector, Dean of the
Faculty, Head and academic staff of the Department and undergraduates of the Department
graced the event.
