About the Program
Master of Marketing Programme is tailored for those who need to pursue higher studies in the field of marketing and intend to improve their knowledge, techniques, skills, approaches, models, and philosophies associated with analyzing, formulating, implementing, and controlling marketing strategies and policies for domestic and global markets by creating a synthesis of theoretical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills.
This program combines modules that a professional marketer requires to comprehend better the business, markets, customers, and competition. The industry project aims to provide students with problem-recognition, analytical, and problem-solving abilities that need to think critically and make fact-based correct decisions. Further, it offers professional and personal skills-related courses such as Personality and Skills Development to enhance personal grooming among professional marketers.
The Master of Marketing is a one year program (30 credits) equivalent to SLQF level 9 qualification. An individual who completes the Master of Marketing offered by the Department of Marketing Management, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, will possess a deep, coherent, and extensive knowledge of marketing and related disciplines coupled with an appreciation of the contribution of research to the discipline, and practical exposure.
