COMSO society of Department of Commerce organized a bodhi pooja programme named ‘Sadham Varsha -2019″ on 30th January 2019. Members of the Commerce and other departments and students participated for the programme.
Meeting with IGP – Sri Lanka
COMSO society meet Inspector General of Police, Mr. Pujith Jayasundara at police head quarters and collected some inspirational information, for their magazine “Vanijaya Arunalu”. They have selected Mr. Pujith Jayasundara who was graduated from department of commerce, as a role model for their magazine.

Annual General Meeting – 2018 Nov of the COMSO society was held at RAAP Hall on 14th November 2018. The department would like to thank existing office bearers and congratulate the new office bearers.
“Leadership and Team Development Skills” Workshop
The Commerce Students Society of the Department of Commerce (COMSO) has organised a “Leadership and team development skills” workshop on 14th February 2018, collaboration with the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of USJP. The event was well attended by the third year Bachelor of Commerce students.

Mr. Imran Nafeer, Managing Director of IDEAS Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd was participated as the resource person for this workshop – Enhancing Social Competencies on 29th August 2017.
Annual CSR Project “Nethusara” – 2017
The annual CSR project ‘Nethusara” of the department of Commerce was held on 29 June 2017, at Bolossagama Maha Vidyalaya, Kaluthara. School uniforms, school bags and stationary were distributed among163 students during this project.
