B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) Graduates Receive Certificate of Excellence from RICS for COP28 Global Student Competition
The B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) undergraduates of 2018/19 were honored with the Certificate of Excellence in recognition of their participation in the COP28 Global Student Competition. Organized by RICS, this competition reflects their continual dedication to advancing sustainable practices and solutions in both the natural and built environment.
Commencing alongside COP28, the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the competition serves as a forum for students to actively engage in the global discourse and contribute to driving positive change.
This initiative aims to empower young minds from across the globe to harness their creativity and envision ground-breaking ideas that can make a meaningful impact in the fight against climate change. The built environment is estimated to be responsible for around 40% of global carbon emissions. By involving students, the RICS recognises their unique ability to bring fresh perspectives, innovative thinking, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by future generations.
The Department of Estate Management and Valuation extends heartfelt congratulations to the final-year students of the academic year 2018/19 for this noteworthy achievement.
