Celebrating Excellence: Highlights from the Annual Merit Award Ceremony

The Annual Merit Award Ceremony hosted by the Department of Estate Management and Valuation was held on 08th of April 2024, at the Sri Sumangala Auditorium aka Sri Sumangala Sabha Sadaya, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The event was a testament to the exceptional achievements of our undergraduates in the core subjects of the B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) Degree programme and B.Sc. Honours in Real Estate Management and Valuation Degree Programme.

Among the esteemed attendees were the Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, the President of the Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka, and representatives from key organizations namely the Institute of Town Planners of Sri Lanka, Surveyors’ Institute of Sri Lanka, Urban Development Authority, Government Valuation Department and the State Investment and Mortgage Bank. It was a gathering of influential voices in the field, united to honor academic excellence.

A total of 46 awards were presented to our outstanding students, recognizing their stellar performance in the core subjects of the degree programme. To all the deserving recipients, congratulations! Your dedication, hard work, and academic prowess are truly inspiring.
