
DEMV Meets with Newly Elected IVSL Council to Discuss the Future of the Valuation Profession
The Department of Estate Management and Valuation, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, recently held a meeting with the newly elected Council of the Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka to discuss the future development of the valuation profession in Sri Lanka.
The discussion focused on emerging industry requirements, professional development initiatives, and strengthening opportunities for DEMV graduates to engage with the valuation profession. The meeting also emphasized the importance of fostering closer collaboration between academia and industry in developing competent, industry-ready professionals capable of addressing evolving market demands. The engagement provided a valuable platform for exchanging perspectives on the advancement of valuation education and professional practice in Sri Lanka, while reinforcing the long-standing relationship between DEMV and IVSL.
