DEMV Successfully Completes the RICS Annual Examiner Review 2026

The Department of Estate Management and Valuation, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, successfully concluded the Annual Examiner Review 2026 conducted by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), reaffirming the Department’s commitment to maintaining internationally recognized standards in real estate and valuation education.

The review was led by Associate Prof. Sr Dr. Ainoriza Binti Mohd Aini of the Department of Real Estate, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya, and Mr. A. A. M. Fathihu, Chartered Valuation Surveyor, Former President of the Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka, and Former Government Chief Valuer of the Government Valuation Department, who served as External Examiners for the review process.

The programme provided a valuable platform for comprehensive engagement with academic staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, alumni, industry representatives, and university leadership. The review process included \programme evaluations, document reviews, stakeholder discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at assessing the quality, relevance, and continuous improvement of the Department’s academic offerings.

The review further highlighted the Department’s strong commitment to academic excellence, industry engagement, and the development of graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to meet the evolving demands of the real estate and valuation profession.
