Educational Field Visit to a Tea Estate with a Factory: Athukorala Group (Pvt) Ltd., Pitigala, Sri Lanka
As a compulsory component of EMV 3349: Agricultural Valuation subject in the B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) Degree Part III, a field visit to the Athukorala Group (Pvt) Ltd. tea estate was arranged and successfully completed on 13th December 2021. The visit aimed to educate students on the process of the tea factory, tea estate, development process of agricultural site and its impact on the value of a property and the facts to be considered in a valuation of a tea estate with a factory.
