Historical Urban Development in Sri Lanka

Degree Part III students were provided with fieldwork aimed at understanding the factors that contributed to the historical urban development in Sri Lanka, city infrastructure, city functioning mechanisms, and how trends come to be. This two-day field excursion provided the opportunity for students to visit Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Archaeological sites, Seethawaka Archaeological sites, Seetawaka Export Processing Zone (EPZ), and Labugma Water Treatment Plant.
