The Estate Management and Valuation – Research and Professional Development Centre (EMV-RPDC) work as one of the consultant teams of the MMC Project. The 3K Project, Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development in collaboration with the EMV-RPDC organized an awareness programme on MMC for the National Transport Commission (NTC), Sri Lanka Railway, Road Development Authority, Sri Lanka Police, GreenTech Consultants (GTC), Sahasara project, Road Passenger Transport Authority (RPTA), on 18th February 2019 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
The MMC is one of the action projects under the Township Development Component of the Greater Colombo Urban Transport Development Project. It is a transit hub of regional and local bus services and railway of Kelani Valley line which can be identified as a landmark project in Sri Lanka being first of its kind to provide multiple transport modes within an integrated transport hub.
