Launch of the 3rd edition – Sparkle in Marketing

The Department of Marketing Management is pleased to announce the successful launch of the third edition of its departmental magazine, “Sparkle in Marketing.” Held on March 14th, 2024, at the New Faculty Board Room of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce of University of Sri Jayewardenepura, the launch event was a distinguished occasion graced by the presence of the esteemed panel of lecturers of the department, including the Head of the Department, Dr. Sandamali Galdolage. The event was further enriched by a guest speech delivered by Mr. Dilupa Pathira, CEO of Barista Coffee Lanka (PVT) LTD., a prominent figure in the industry and the magazine’s “Big Story” resource person. Additional contributions from esteemed resource persons Mr. Amitha Amarasinghe, Mr. Oshadee Withanawasm, and Mr. Usitha Dheerasinghe further enriched the launch. This year’s theme, “Island Innovation: Sri Lanka’s Leap into a Tech-Driven Tomorrow,” sparked engaging discussions on the future of marketing and Sri Lanka’s potential within the technological landscape. The department extends its sincere appreciation to all who made this launch possible: the Advisory Board, the Editorial Board, the Marketing Management Association, and the dedicated students of the Department of Marketing Management who contributed their time and talent.
