Guest Lecture on “Negotiation Strategies”

The Department of Accounting, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, successfully conducted a guest lecture titled “Negotiation Strategies” for the benefit of its undergraduate students. The session was organised with the objective of enhancing students’ practical understanding of negotiation skills that are essential in today’s dynamic business and professional environments.

The session was delivered by Mr. Rajith Perera, Head of Procurement at Nestlé Lanka Limited, who shared his extensive industry experience and practical insights into effective negotiation practices within a corporate context. Drawing from his professional journey in procurement and supply chain management, Mr. Perera provided valuable perspectives on how strategic negotiations play a critical role in achieving organisational goals.

The event was attended by academic staff members of the Department of Accounting together with undergraduate students. The interactive session created a valuable learning platform for students to engage with an experienced industry professional and gain exposure to real-world business practices.

During the lecture, Mr. Perera discussed key negotiation strategies, techniques, and real-world applications relevant to today’s competitive business environment.
