JESA 2024 Winners from the Department of Accounting
Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), the student body of the Department of Accounting, demonstrated outstanding achievements at the Grand Finale of the J’pura Employability Skills Awards (JESA) 2024, held on November 8, 2024, and organized by the Career Skills Development Society (CSDS) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Individual members of AFMA, along with the association itself, won a total of eight (08) awards at JESA 2024. The achievements are as follows:
- The “Accounting Standards Handbook” project by AFMA won the Best CSR Award.
- Shan Dilhara won the Best Employability Skills Achiever (BESA-FMSC) Award.
- Piyumanthi Liyanarachchi was the 1st Runner-Up for the BESA-FMSC Award.
- Naadiya Mariam was the 2nd Runner-Up for the BESA-FMSC Award.
- Shan Dilhara was the 1st Runner-Up for the Best Young Entrepreneur Award.
- Dinali Jayasinghe was the 1st Runner-Up for the Best Communicator Award.
- Maheesha Liyanagamamage was the 2nd Runner-Up for the Best Leader Award.
- Maheesha Liyanagamamage was the 2nd Runner-Up for the Best Team Player Award.
