Stepping into Year 2026

The Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), the student body of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, organised a splendid event to ceremoniously welcome the dawn of the New Year. The event was held on 1 January 2026 at the department premises. The occasion was graced by the participation of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dileepa Samudrage, the esteemed panel of lecturers, the non-academic staff, and the students of the department. The event commenced with the welcoming of the lecturers, followed by the time-honoured tradition of “Kiri Ithiraweema,” and continued with a delightful New Year celebration.
