Young Accountants’ Research Conference 2020
“Young Accountants’ Research Day” is the first-ever undergraduates’ research forum convened by the Department of Accounting, in its 28 years of history. This event was conducted with the noble motive of inculcating and promoting a research culture among the undergraduates of the department.
The department firmly believes that initiation of a research-centered learning culture will inspire students to embrace critical, logical and innovative thinking. This forum creates a platform for the potential researchers to disseminate their new findings relating to the field of accounting.
Mr. R.H.P. Janadheera, Director of Operations of Dipped Products PLC., a proud alumnus of the Department of Accounting, contributed as the keynote speaker of this conference. Ms. Rathnakala Kumaragurunathan, Associate Director of Training and Knowledge Management of Acuity Knowledge Partners was invited as the guest of honour of this historic day.
Conference Chair of “Young Accountants’ Research Day”, Senior Professor Kennedy Gunawardene, Head of the Department and the Department Research Coordinator addressed the gathering at the inauguration ceremony.
