4th Young Accountants’ Research Conference – 2023
The Young Accountants’ Research Conference – 2023 (YARC – 2023), organized by the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was held on the 26th of July 2023 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Dr. Sanjaya Kuruppu , Senior Lecturer at the University of South Australia, was the Keynote Speaker and Mr. Upekha Atupola , a doctoral candidate at the University of South Australia and a proud alumnus of the Department of Accounting, was the Guest Speaker. Thirty-five young accountants presented their research under six tracks (Corporate Reporting, Auditing and Assurance, Sustainability Management and Reporting, Technology and Innovation in Accounting, Financial Markets and Risk Management, Accounting Education and Professional Development, and Behavioural Perspectives in Accounting) in the technical sessions of the conference.
Dr. Dushan Jayawickrama , Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, Snr. Prof. Kennedy Gunawardana , Head, Department of Accounting, and Dr. Nuwan Gunarathne , Chair, YARC– 2023 addressed the gathering. Representing the organizing committee (Ms. Amali Henadirage , Ms. Nathasha Kaumadi , Mr. Janith Dayarathna and Mr. Gayantha Jayasooriya ), Ms. Nathasha Kaumadi delivered the vote of thanks.
