The Department of Business Economics organised a five day Residential Workshop from 1st to 6th of January 2016 on Personality and Skill Development under the Department Study Skill Development Programme. The third year undergraduates of the Department of Business Economics participated at the programme which was held within the university premises. The purpose of this endeavour was to expose the students to experiential learning. The programme consisted of study skills, physical training sessions, team building exercises, confidence building, first aid skills, CV preparation and mock interview sessions, social dancing, etiquettes training grooming sessions and basic Photoshop and Prezzi training. The resource personnel were sourced from many outside organisations to blend their expertise in to the programme including St. Johns Services, Sri Lanka Military and National trainers of Volleyball.
The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the programme is scheduled to be held on 28th March 2016 at the Board Room of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce from 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. with the participation of the Vice Chancellor as the Chief Guest.
