HFC - Bambalapitiya Students Explore University Life

On 23rd March 2026, the Department of Commerce hosted the Advanced Level Commerce students of the Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya, for an engaging academic programme. 

The programme commenced with an introductory session graced by the Head of the Department of Commerce. Their speeches highlighted the academic excellence of the Faculty, the role of the Department in nurturing competent commerce professionals, and the diverse academic and career pathways available to students. An overview of the Department’s degree programmes, student life, and core values was also shared during this session.

Following the introductory segment, the visiting students were taken on a guided tour of the university premises, providing them with a firsthand experience of the vibrant learning environment and facilities at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

It also featured a special lecture on accounting and interactive activities, offering students both valuable knowledge and an inspiring glimpse into university life.
