First Year - Orientation Program 2023

On the 27th of April 2023, the Department of Commerce conducted the First-year student orientation program. This program aimed to provide an overview of the B. Com (Hons) Degree program and the opportunities available to the students. The event was attended by the academic staff members of the Department and the Commerce Student’s Society (COMSO) Board members. The highlight of the event was the address by Guest Speaker Miss. Nidessha Ellawela, Business Development Manager – International Markets, John Keells Super Markets. She is a past Prof Hema Wijewardena Gold Medalist of the Department of Commerce. Her speech was both encouraging and motivating, as she shared her journey to success and provided valuable insights to the students.
