Importance of logic and structure in writing

The Department along with the Commerce Society organized a special workshop focusing the final year and third year undergraduates of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce on the 07th of June 2021 at 09.00am via Zoom Meeting Platform. The primary focus of the session was to enhance the knowledge of the undergraduates in regards to investment note writing, market and product research insight presentation which is an essential aspect of the corporate sector.

This invaluable session was conducted by Ms. Ayoma Peiris who is currently serving as the Associate Director – Commercial Lending at Acuity Knowledge Partners. Her vast experience in market and investment research was a gift to the audience where she had lengthy discussions with the participants about the role of an analyst, how logical thinking is important and the process of investment note writing and aspects where a competent analyst must master in recommending an option to the client with a in depth data analysis.
