Ocean Plastic Pollution and the Parley AIR Strategy

A special workshop was conducted for the 3rd year undergraduates of the Department on the topic “Ocean Plastic Pollution and the Parley AIR Strategy” on the 17th of April 2023. The workshop was delivered by Ms. Irushine Wedage, the Country Director for Parley for the Oceans. During the workshop, Ms. Wedage highlighted the urgent need to take action to combat the global issue of plastic pollution and emphasized the Parley AIR strategy as a powerful tool to tackle this problem. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged student engagement and discussion, enabling the students to learn about the issue and its possible solutions. This event was coordinated by Mr. KSL Wijayasinghe (Lecturer – Probationary).
