Wesley College Students Explore University Life

The Commerce Society of the Department of Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was pleased to host Commerce stream students from Wesley College, Colombo, for an insightful university visit designed to introduce them to undergraduate education and campus life in the field of Commerce.

The programme commenced with an introductory session graced by addresses from the Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce and the Head of the Department of Commerce. Their speeches highlighted the academic excellence of the Faculty, the role of the Department in nurturing competent commerce professionals, and the diverse academic and career pathways available to students. An overview of the Department’s degree programmes, student life, and core values was also shared during this session.

Following the introductory segment, the visiting students were taken on a guided tour of the university premises, providing them with a firsthand experience of the vibrant learning environment and facilities at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

The visit concluded with a series of fun and interactive activities organized by the Commerce Society, fostering engagement and meaningful interaction between the students and the university community. The Department of Commerce extends its sincere appreciation to the students and staff of Wesley College for their enthusiastic participation and looks forward to welcoming them again in the future.
