Women Empowerment and Business in Sri Lanka

A special workshop was conducted for the final year undergraduates of the Department on the topic “Women Empowerment and Business in Sri Lanka” on the 30th of May 2023. The workshop was delivered by Ms. Rukshanie Vidyarathne, the Program Manager at The Asia Foundation. During the workshop, Ms. Vidyarathne highlighted the urgent need to take action to combat gender gaps. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged student engagement and discussion, enabling the students to learn about the issue and its possible solutions.
