'විවරණ' 2024 - Second Phase

The second phase of ‘විවරණ’ 2024, an Advanced Level Accounting Special Seminar organized by the Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), was successfully held on October 9th, 2024, at Thopawewa National College, Polonnaruwa, marking its 7th consecutive edition. The seminar featured resource persons Mr. Chathuranga Sandaruwan, Ms. Amali Henadirage, and Mr. Gayantha Jayasooriya, all lecturers from the Department of Accounting at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka sponsored the event. Two inspiring motivational speeches were delivered by Ishini Amararathne, the island first in the 2022 A/L Commerce stream, and Nipun Dehigampala, who placed 3rd in the Polonnaruwa district in the same stream and year. Both are now students at the Department of Accounting. The feedback from both teachers and students was overwhelmingly positive, underscoring the seminar’s success and lasting impact.
