Mentoring Session on Internship Program in Accounting and Finance under the Skill Development Program of Intern Accountants
Under the Skill Development Program of Intern Accountants of the B.Sc. Accounting (Special) Degree Program, a Mentoring Session on Internship was organized by the Centre for Accounting Internship and Skill Development (CAISD) for the Second-Year undergraduates of the Department of Accounting. This session was held on 23rd September 2020 from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. at the Prof. Munasinghe Auditorium. This mentoring session is conducted annually with the objective of making the second-year undergraduates aware of the opportunities available for internship, challenges faced during the internship program and how to meet these challenges successfully.
Mr. Ajantha Premasiri Chief Marketing Officer, Assetline Leasing Company Limited, Mr. Vajira Lakdeva Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ms. Portia Jayamaha Director-Finance, Hemas Hospitals Private Limited and Mr. Rohana Wijebandara Group Financial Controller, Dialog Axiata PLC were invited to share their experiences and insights. Head, senior academic staff members, overall coordinator, coordinators and deputy coordinators also took part in this valuable session.
