JESA 2025 Winners from the Department of Accounting

Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), the student body of the Department of Accounting, demonstrated outstanding achievements at the Grand Finale of the J’pura Employability Skills Awards (JESA) 2025, held on December 10, 2025, and organized by the Career Skills Development Society (CSDS) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Individual members of AFMA, along with the association itself, won a total of eight (05) awards at JESA 2025. The achievements are as follows:

• Naadiya Mariam was the winner of the BESA Inter-university Award.
• Chamath Pushpakumara was the 1st Runner-Up for the BESA-FMSC Award
• Aaquila Faizal was the 2nd Runner-Up for the Best Communicator Award.
• Chamath Pushpakumara was the 2nd Runner-Up for the Best Team Player Award.
• The “AFMA Wellness Camp” project by AFMA won the 1st Runner-Up for the Best CSR Award.
