Department of Accounting Academics Recognised at the Research Awards 2024/2025

At the Research Awards 2024/2025 of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, held on 27 March 2026, academic staff members of the Department of Accounting were recognised under several categories.

Under the category of full paper publications in SCImago-ranked journals (Q1–Q4) and internationally indexed databases, including Web of Science and Elsevier Scopus, the following academic staff members were recognised: Prof. Roshan Ajward, Prof. Dileepa Samudrage, Dr. Nuwan Gunarathne, Dr. Isuru Manawadu, Ms. Amali Henadirage, and Ms. Thilini Cooray.

For securing external research grants during the year 2024, Dr. Nuwan Gunarathne and Ms. Thilini Cooray were specially recognised.

In addition, Dr. Nuwan Gunarathne was recognised for publishing more than five full papers per year during 2024 and 2025 in recognised indexed journals, achieving more than 150 Google Scholar citations per year during the same period, and being named among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the Elsevier/Stanford List for 2025.
