Celebrating Excellence: Highlights from the 47th Colours Awarding Ceremony at University of Sri Jayewardenepura

The 47th Colours Awarding Ceremony of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura lit up the night with glitz, glamour, and celebration on the 27th of March 2024. Hosted at the elegant Hotel Grand Mondo – Luxury Banquets in Homagama, the event recognized outstanding achievements in sports and academic excellence.

Distinguished guests graced the occasion, adding to the prestige of the event. Among them were Senior Prof. Sampath Amarathunga, Chairman of UGC, Senior Prof. Pathmalal M. Manage, Vice Chancellor of the University, Mr. Sujeewa Rajapaksha, Chairman of People’s Bank and Main Sponsor of the Colours Night, as well as the Honorable Sports Advisory Board Co-Chairmen, Senior Prof. Pradeep Jayaweera and Prof. K.L. Visal Perera: Merit Award Recipient in Karate.
Shamika Fernando: Colour Winner in Elle.
Kasuri Kulathuga: Colour Winner in Hockey.
Dishan Jagodaachchi: Colour Winner in Rugby.
