Congratulations to Professor M.A.K. Sriyalatha

Heartiest congratulations to Dr M.A.K. Sriyalatha for being promoted to the Professorship at the Department of Business Economics, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ). She is one of the founding members of the department who earned her first degree, B.Sc. Management (Public Administration) (Special) from the USJ, Escalating her academic career, she earned her postgraduate degree M. Com at the University of Kelaniya. And her PhD from Meijo University in Japan. Further, she gained two Post-Doctoral Fellowships from the same institution.

She has many years of teaching and research supervision experience in a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has extensively published researchers in the fields of Economics and Management. She is currently the director of the Research Center for Business Economics and Development Studies (RCBEDS) and the course coordinator for the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Economics (PGDip (BEc)).

From May 2017 to May 2018, she served as the Head of the Department of Business Economics. During her tenure Professor M.A.K. Sriyalatha has made a significant contribution to higher education and national development.
