ECONINSIGHT - A Decade of Resounding Success

ECONINSIGHT 2025 marked a significant milestone in the journey of academic enrichment for G.C.E. Advanced Level students pursuing economics. This educational initiative was organised for the 10th consecutive year by the Business Economics Students’ Association (BIZCON) of the Department of Business Economics of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

This event was held on the 30th of April 2025 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, in three venues simultaneously: Bandaranaike Hall, Fayol Hall, and the SBM Hall. This program recorded a historic level of student participation, with over 2300 students representing 50 schools from Colombo, Kalutara, and Gampaha districts.

ECONINSIGHT 2025 featured interactive sessions conducted by renowned senior lecturers from the Department of Business Economics, aimed at deepening students’ understanding of economics.

Following the academic sessions, the departmental undergraduates thoughtfully arranged a comprehensive university tour, which provided students with an opportunity to explore the university while envisioning their academic futures.

The decade of impact through this program, ECONINSIGHT, showcases the Department’s enduring commitment and dedication in shaping the future of education in Sri Lanka.
