Workshop on “Facilitating Foreign Transactions and Managing Exchange Risk” – 2025
The Department of Business Economics, in collaboration with the Bank of Ceylon, successfully organized the workshop on “Facilitating Foreign Transactions and Managing Exchange Risk – 2025” for final-year undergraduates following the subject BEC 4372: International Trade and Payments, on Wednesday, 07th May 2025. Initiated in 2019, this marked the seventh consecutive year of conducting the workshop.
This year’s session featured two insightful components focusing on trade operations and payment methods, and instruments to hedge foreign exchange risk and emerging challenges in the forex market. It provided a dynamic platform for students to explore the practical aspects of international trade transactions and develop a deeper understanding of foreign exchange risk management strategies.
The Department of Business Economics extends its sincere appreciation to the Bank of Ceylon for its continued partnership in enriching the academic experience of students through meaningful industry engagement.
