A session on academic report writing

A session on academic report writing was organized by the Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), the student body of the Department of Accounting on 16th December 2022 from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm at Soratha Building Main Hall. The main objective of this session was to guide the students’ methodological thinking and enhance their academic writing skills. This interactive session was conducted by Dr. Mangala Fonseka, an endowed former Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting. Several lecturers and second-year undergraduates of the department attended this event. Throughout the session, the dimensions, content, form, STF model and attributes of academic writing, proper paragraph writing, and research writing were elaborated on in detail.
