Project ‘ACCENT’ by the Department of Business Economics to Reduce Corruption in Sri Lanka

‘ACCENT’ is a project organized with the aim of reducing corruption in Sri Lanka and initiated under the course BEC3344: Project Management with the guidance of Dr. Janaka Fernando, the course coordinator of the subject.
The project consisted of 3 phases; a PR campaign which raised the awareness about the corruption level of the country, types of corruption, and next to a panel discussion on the topic “Actions we can take as a country to reduce corruption in Sri Lanka” and finally an  E-Magazine launching.
The First 2 phases were conducted virtually via the social media platforms and Zoom platform. Third phase, the launching ceremony of the E-Magazine ‘විනිවිද’ was organized at the university premises, on the 19th January 2022. The ceremony was graced by the dean of the faculty, Prof. P.D.Nimal and the Head of Department, Prof. Janak Kumarasinghe.
