Asel Hettiarachchi is a Lecturer (probationary) at the Department of Business Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ). He holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Business Economics) with First Class Honors from USJ and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Applied Accounting with First Class Honors from Oxford Brookes University. He has also completed his Master of Business Economics and is currently pursuing an MPhil in Business Economics. Alongside his academic career, Asel has nearly three years of professional experience as a practising economist at JB Securities (Pvt) Ltd and as an associate at Frontier Research (Pvt) Ltd. He is also a passed finalist of ACCA - UK and AAT Sri Lanka.
