Ms. Hirusha Wanigasingha is a Sri Lankan researcher and academic currently serving as a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the same institution, where she is also pursuing an MPhil degree specialising in computer vision-based sports analytics. Her primary research interests span machine vision, nature-inspired computing, and bioinformatics, with notable contributions including co-evolutionary algorithm optimisation for text classification and deep learning applications for retail and health analytics. Her academic contributions were recognised with the 2025 IASSL Best Research Award for her undergraduate algorithmic research.

His experience includes senior leadership roles at PMF Finance PLC, formerly People’s Merchant Bank, National Development Bank PLC, LOLC Finance PLC, and Hatton National Bank PLC. Nuwan brings practical expertise in credit risk management, banking operations, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation to the teaching of Commercial Banking.

She also serves as a Visiting Lecturer in Financial Economics. She holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Business Economics) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is currently reading for a Master of Business Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master of Professional Finance at the University of Kelaniya. He is a gold medallist in the banking examinations conducted by the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka and a recipient of the K. Sivagananathan Memorial Trust Award, presented by the Association of Professional Bankers Sri Lanka for Investment Banking. He currently serves as Assistant Manager, Internal Audit, and Unit Head for Credit and Lending Audits at HNB PLC.
