Shakthi Rajakaruna is a Senior Economist in the Money and Banking Division of the Economic Research Department at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He holds a B.A. Special Degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Peradeniya and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. He began his professional career at DFCC Bank PLC in 2017 before joining the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 2019. His expertise also extends to collaborative research, including recent joint projects with the Bank of Korea and SAARC FINANCE on money market developments and central bank digital currencies.

Ms. Hirusha Wanigasingha is a Sri Lankan researcher and academic currently serving as a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the same institution, where she is also pursuing an MPhil degree specialising in computer vision-based sports analytics. Her primary research interests span machine vision, nature-inspired computing, and bioinformatics, with notable contributions including co-evolutionary algorithm optimisation for text classification and deep learning applications for retail and health analytics. Her academic contributions were recognised with the 2025 IASSL Best Research Award for her undergraduate algorithmic research.

Nuwan is a former banker and banking technology consultant with more than 18 years of experience in Sri Lanka’s banking and financial services sector. He currently serves as a Business Consultant – Banking at Lime Automation, supporting banks in designing and delivering technology-enabled solutions for customer onboarding, loan origination, credit lifecycle management, and risk-based decision-making. His experience includes senior leadership roles at PMF Finance PLC, formerly People’s Merchant Bank, National Development Bank PLC, LOLC Finance PLC, and Hatton National Bank PLC. Nuwan brings practical expertise in credit risk management, banking operations, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation to the teaching of Commercial Banking.

Mrs. Bhagya Ranasinghe is an Assistant Director working in the Front Office of the Investment Management Department at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. She also serves as a Visiting Lecturer in Financial Economics. She holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Business Economics) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is currently reading for a Master of Business Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master of Professional Finance at the University of Kelaniya. Her areas of expertise include Economics, Finance, Econometrics, and Portfolio Management, with a strong interest in applying economic and financial theory to real-world investment and policy decisions.

Sivagananathan Memorial Trust Award, presented by the Association of Professional Bankers Sri Lanka for Investment Banking. He currently serves as Assistant Manager, Internal Audit, and Unit Head for Credit and Lending Audits at HNB PLC.
