First Year Undergraduates Orientation Program and Annual Awards Ceremony
The Department organized its “First Year Undergraduates Orientation Program and Annual Awards Ceremony” held on the 11th of October 2022 at the Senate Boardroom with the presence of Prof. P.D. Nimal, Dean of the Faculty and Chief Guest Mr. Asanka Liyanage the Assistant General Manager, Internal Audit Sampath Bank PLC. Hirdaramani dignitaries were present too to honor the MoU between the Department of Commerce. The orientation was conducted by the Head of the Department Dr. Ayoma Sumanasiri while Mr. Asanka Liyanage delivered the keynote address on how to manage the years as an undergraduate. The session progressed with 19 students been recognized for the Best Student Excellence Awards which is awarded to students who received highest marks for the courses offered by the Department and 05 students were recognized for the Hirdaramani Excellence Award for achieving highest GPA for Part I, Part II and Part III of the B.Com (Special) Degree program.
