JESA Best Innovator 2022
J’pura Employability Skills Awards is the center stage for recognizing many versatile personalities of the University who has excelled in different fields ranging from academic to many extra-curricular activities. It is with great pride that we announce Yenuka Rupasinghe a final year undergraduate of the department was recognized as the JESA Best Innovator at the JESA Awards Ceremony 2022 held on the 27th September 2022 at the Hotel Eagles’ Lakeside.
Yenuka was recognized for the innovation on Vehicle Fraudulent Activity Monitoring System which was a solution vehicle owner who was bearing a monthly loss more than Rs.100,000 because of fuel stealing done by their vehicle operators which was rented out for construction sites. There was no mechanism in place to monitor or control, because owners do not have access to the construction sites which were mostly located in remote areas. With this innovation vehicle owners gets an alert whenever there is an anomaly drop in fuel level and also this system provides other additional services like GPS location of the vehicle and user report daily.
