Infinity 4.0 Inter-university case study competition

The Department of Commerce in collaboration with the Commerce Society of the department conducted the 4th ‘Infinity’ inter-university case study competition that spanned over 4 weeks. This event aimed at providing 30 teams from 8 prestigious universities in Sri Lanka including 90 undergraduates, in showcasing their analytical and presentation skills in the field of management. The competition commenced with an introductory session where the teams participated and were briefed regarding the competition structure and guidelines.

This year’s competition commenced on the 21^st of May 2023 and the final round was completed on the 4^th of June 2023 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. In the final round, the 5 teams were evaluated by a judging board consisting of 4 judges. Teams were required to present their analysis and to face a question-and-answer session after submitting their presentation slides at the required deadline. Finally, on 4^th June 2023, the winners were announced by giving recognition to; the winning Team ‘Team Scorpions from the University of Moratuwa’, 1^st runner up “Team Illuminators from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura’ and 2^nd runner up ‘Team Dynamix from the University of Moratuwa’ for their exceptional performance showcased throughout the competition.

Overall, the inter-university case study competition organized by the Commerce Society of the Department of Commerce (COMSO) provided a platform for the undergraduates to showcase their critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and presentation skills, finally rewarding them for their performance.
