ECONINSIGHT 2018 – Colombo District Seminar
‘ECON-INSIGHT 2018’ is a seminar series on Economics organised by the Students’ Association of Business Economics (BIZCON) of the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce for the 2018 G.C.E. (A/L) candidates. This is organised with the aim of enhancing knowledge of the subject among those candidates and also to fulfil the social responsibility of the undergraduates of the department.
The first seminar of the series was successfully held on the 7th February 2018 at the Auditorium of the National Youth Services Council, Maharagama. Mr Ananda Rathnayake, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Business Economics, conducted the seminar on two subject areas, i.e., Money and Banking and National Accounting. More than 1100 students from Colombo district schools participated in this event.
