Grand Finale of Radix 2017

The Grand Finale of RADIX 2017, the first-ever inter-university dancing competition for management undergraduates organized by the Business Economics Students’ Association (BIZCON), was held on 16 November 2017 from 6.00 p.m. onwards at the Bandaranaike Hall, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The event was conceptualised and implemented as a student project under the subject Project Management, providing students with practical exposure to planning, coordination, resource management, and event execution.

The event featured outstanding performances by six finalists: Temptation, Ritmo Sevens, and Phoenix from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura; Absalute from the University of Colombo; Roothal from the University of Ruhuna; and Waya BSF-A from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Three renowned figures in the field of performing arts in Sri Lanka, Mr. Channa Wijewardena, Mr. Kevin Nugara, and Mr. Ranjith Priyanga, served as the distinguished panel of judges.

Team Temptation was crowned the champion, while Team Absalute and Team Phoenix were awarded first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively. Musical performances by the Wayo band added further glamour and entertainment to the event.
