Guest Lecture on “The Impact of COVID-19 on Macroeconomic Variables in Sri Lanka
Department of Business Economics was able to successfully organise a guest lecture under the theme “The Impact of COVID-19 on Macroeconomic Variables in Sri Lanka” for the second year undergraduates of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce under the course BEC 2340: Macroeconomics.
This session was conducted with the objective of increasing awareness among the second-year undergraduates on contemporary issues, challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and the role of government in overcoming these challenges successfully.
The lecture was conducted by Dr. (Ms.) Sujeetha Jegajeevan (Deputy Director, Economic Research Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka). The session was held on 11th February 2021 from 2.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. via the Zoom platform. Academic members of the department and second-year undergraduates took part in this valuable session.
