Guest Lecture on “The Nexus between Macroeconomic Fundamentals and Central Bank’s Economic and Price Stability Goal”
The Department of Business Economics successfully organised a guest lecture under the topic of “The Nexus between Macroeconomic Fundamentals and Central Bank’s Economic and Price Stability Goal” for the second-year undergraduates of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce under the course BEC 2340: Macroeconomics.
The guest lecture was conducted in order to improve the understanding among the second-year undergraduates on the interaction between macroeconomics concepts and the Central Bank objective of economic and price stability.
The lecture was conducted by Dr. W.A. Wijewardena, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The lecture was held on 4th March 2021 from 2.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. via the Zoom platform. Academic members of the department and second-year undergraduates participated in this session.
