
Guest Lecture – Personal and Professional Development
The Department of Business Economics successfully conducted a guest lecture on Personal and Professional Development on 12 August 2026 at SBFF 1. The session focused on “Personal Grooming, Effective Mannerisms, and Workplace Etiquette for Professional Success.”
The session was conducted by Ms. Dinali Ruwanpathirana, who shared practical insights on maintaining an appropriate professional appearance, developing confident mannerisms, practising proper workplace etiquette, and building a positive professional image.
The lecture highlighted how personal presentation, communication, behaviour, and professionalism influence first impressions and long-term career development. Particular attention was given to preparing students for internships, job interviews, workplace interactions, and future employment opportunities.
