‘Sipsaviya’ Community Development Project

Community Development Programme of the BEC 3324: Project Management course, offered by the Department of Business Economics, successfully completed the ‘Sipsaviya’ project, which aimed at developing the infrastructure of Kalupahana Junior School located in Mahakalupahana village, Kalutara district. The project was implemented by the third-year undergraduates of the Department of Business Administration. In a discussion held with the representatives of the village, the students could identify the issue of poor conditions of a classroom in the school. Due to the lack of resources, parents had built a temporary classroom without any safety precautions. Therefore, the project team constructed a classroom with good conditions for the school under this project.
