I believe that I have been privileged to follow the degree programme offered by the Department of Business Economics of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. It is one of the most distinctive undergraduate programmes offered within the Sri Lankan university system. The combination of management and economics adds considerable value to the programme.
In today’s dynamic and competitive environment, graduates of this programme have access to career opportunities across numerous fields, including the corporate sector, public sector, banking, policy analysis, and research. The programme not only creates diverse career opportunities but also equips undergraduates with the competencies and skills required to perform successfully in their chosen careers.
The Department’s success is driven by its panel of experienced and well-qualified lecturers, who are committed to maintaining the quality of the degree programme and supporting the wellbeing of students.
