Annual General Meeting of the Alumni Association of the Department of Business Economics – 2016
The Alumni Association of the Department of Business Economics was established in 2007 with the primary objective of maintaining strong relationships among alumni members and the Department. The Association also seeks to develop programmes that benefit both graduates and undergraduates through the sharing of knowledge and experience and by strengthening links between the Department and the corporate sector.
With the support of the Alumni Association, the Department aims to further strengthen the B.Sc. in Business Administration (Business Economics) (Special) Degree Programme as an outstanding academic programme within the Sri Lankan state university system that produces competitive graduates for the nation.
Since the establishment of the Department in 2001, it had produced more than 400 graduates by the completion of its tenth batch. As the alumni community continued to grow in both size and professional capacity, the Department and the officials of the Alumni Association decided to convene the Annual General Meeting for 2016.

Venue: Soratha Building Main Hall, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce
The AGM was organised to elect the officials of the Alumni Association for 2016/2017, discuss its future initiatives, and update the alumni membership database.

Alumni members were also requested to complete the Alumni Registration Form available on the Department website.
