‘J’PURA EXPO 2022 – Export Policy Review Forum
The ‘J’PURA EXPO 2022 – Export Policy Review Forum’ is organized by the undergraduates with the consultation of the academics of the Department of Business Economics of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura with the purpose of creating a platform to connect government officials and exporters of Sri Lanka and to emphasize the pros and cons of the current policies, especially related to export taxes and investments, while highlighting policy suggestions to boost Sri Lankan exports.
The export policy review forum was successfully conducted on Thursday 15th December 2022 from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. at Sri Sumangala Auditorium, University of Sri Jayewardenepura with the participation of distinguished event panelists Dr. Sanjeewa Rathnasekara (Deputy Director, Policy and Strategic Planning, Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB)), Mr. Denzil Perera (Chairman, Lanka Salusala Ltd), Mr. Thilak Rajah (Representative from Sri Lanka Evaluation Association), Mr. Ranjith Hapuarachchi (Commissioner General, Inland Revenue Department (IRD)), Mr. Lakmal Perera (Secretary, Ceylon United Businesses Alliance), Dr. Saj Mendis (Acting Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and as the panel moderator Mr. Alexi Gunasekara (Former Trade Commissioner to Beijing, China).
