'Securing Edu’Mind' Community Development Project

WP/Mathu/Lihiniyawa Junior School in Kaluthara district benefited from the community development programme implemented under the BEC 3324: Project Management course offered by the Department of Business Economics. The project ‘Securing Edu’Mind’ was implemented by the third-year undergraduates of the Department of Business Administration with the aim of upgrading the current standards of the classrooms. The need for the project was identified after a participatory planning session with the stakeholders of the school and village. Therefore, the project team planned to upgrade the conditions of two classrooms in order to create a good environment for studies. Accordingly, the mesh coverings were fixed for the selected classrooms.
