Warmest congratulations to these two inspiring personalities Bhagya Ranasinghe and Dakum Jayamanne, the proud products of the Department of Business Economics, University of Sri Jayewardenepura for representing Sri Lanka in the 18th South Asian Economics Students’ Meet  2023 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
There, they got the opportunity of presenting their respective research papers;
 Bhagya Ranasinghe – “An analysis of the integration of ICT by University lecturers: Evidence from Colombo, Sri Lanka” under the main theme “Human Development”.
 Dakum Jayamanne – “Impact of covid-19 on informal sector workers – A case study of street vendors in Colombo, Sri Lanka” under the main theme “Macroeconomics of pandemic and war”.
Also special congratulations to Bhagya Ranasinghe for her remarkable achievement of being selected to the final round of Budding Economist Competition as one of the Top Five Budding Economists in South Asia in 18th SAESM.
